As we go further into the 3rd quarter of the year and approach the 4th, one of the biggest concerns of investors is the elections in November. Whether you are a Democrat, Republican or Independent doesn’t matter. As an American, you should be concerned about the deficits this country has and how we are going to pay for them. In its simplest form, we all know that you either have to raise taxes or cut spending.
The big debate within the campaigns of this election will be the Bush Tax Cuts that discontinue on December 31, 2010. Each politician will have to address their views on tax or spending. That issue alone could determine if they are elected in their run for office.
I want to give you a free and great weekly financial market commentary report by Jeff Kleintop, Chief Market Strategist at LPL, which gives an amazing overview of possibilities on how the tax issue could pan out. Needless to say, the financial market’s future direction and your investments could greatly be impacted by whether taxes go up or down. This will give you a great amount of financial insight.
